In case you missed it earlier, I went on a school trip with high school students to the Appalachia region of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and North Carolina. Our first stop was Cumberland Gap National Historic Park where we took a short hike to the Pinnacle Overlook for some excellent views of the surrounding land.
